The Advancement of AI in Video Production

Will you be replaced by AI?

The Advancement of AI in Video Production
Artificial Intelligence has made remarkable progress in recent years, and the video production industry is no exception. AI tools like ChatGPT, StableDiffusion, synthesys.io, and ReSemble AI have become capable of drafting scripts, generating visuals with actors and voices that are almost indistinguishable from real ones.
Even though AI is talked a lot now, especially in the context of content creation, AI tools have been a part of video production for a while now.

These AI tools are sure to boost productivity, making certain tasks unworthy of human supervision. However, despite all their capabilities, there's one thing these AI tools lack – the human touch.

The Power of Connection
Videos have always been a powerful medium for human connection, whether it's for entertainment or educational purposes. People watch videos to be inspired, to learn from someone else's experience and expertise, and to feel a sense of community.
In the context of a business, video is used not only to communicate information, but also to promote the people that make up that business. From the CEO and CFO in internal communication, PR and investor relations video content, to teams and employees in employe branding and corporate culture videos.

Videos allow us to connect with others in a way that's not possible with just text or images. They bring us closer to a person, and that's what makes them so appealing.

AI vs. the Human Touch
When we consume video content it's not only about the information contained in that video but about the personality and relatability of the content. People want to see real-life experiences and emotions, to learn from someone's personal journey and to feel a sense of empathy.
A video completely generated by AI would have to at least be connected to a real person to generate any type of emotion in the audience and in that case is just a tool used by a content creator.

For example a video of a TED talk draws attention on the premise that, TED Talks is a trusted brand that vetted the speaker who is probably a leader in their field and will deliver valuable content. Just how it's hard to imagine a room full of people gathered to attend a presentation completely generated and delivered by AI, same goes for video content.

The Future of Video Production
It's evident that AI tools will continue to evolve and play a significant role in the video production industry. However, they will never replace the human touch that makes video content so appealing. People will always want to connect with real people, to see their faces and hear their voices, and to feel a sense of empathy. AI tools will help to increase productivity and streamline certain tasks, but they will never replace the human connection that drives the continued growth in video content traffic.

Conclusions

In conclusion, AI tools have certainly changed the video production industry for the better, but they will never replace the human touch that makes video content so special. People will always want to connect with others, to see and hear their experiences, and to feel a sense of empathy. So, don't worry, AI won't replace you, it will simply make your job easier and more efficient. Embrace the advancements in AI technology, but never forget the power of connection, as it's what will continue to drive the growth of video content.

In the case of video content creators to be replaced by AI, If anything ,it might be the opposite, where creating high quality video content with real people, scripted with emotion will be even more valued in a world flooded by cheap AI generated Content.
